Just rent the original - The Longest Yard Reviews

Why did they have to remake this film? Why did they have to cast not-so-funny man Sandler in Burt's role? Does anyone really take him to be some tough football quarterback? The WaterBoy was more his role. And Chris Rock? Did some studio exec say "We need to notch up the humour here and destroy the all time classic movie?" Just watched the original before this pile of crap and no comparision. The original has an edge to it that this Saturday Night Live skit movie failed to emulate. Want a comedy...go ahead and watch. Want a funny football movie with heart...watch the original.
